ANA DOMINGUEZ

Social Business Accelerator Intern  

  • Education: 
    Degree in Finance and International Relations – Fundación Universitaria San Martin (Medellín-Colombia)
  • Background/Achievements:

    She has worked in non-governmental organizations and public sector, always focused on finance, administrative and management; She was Trainee of excellence for the administrative subsecretary in Medellin's City Hall (updating documents of the administration of some real estate in ARIS tool, A German Tool of processes BPM and implementation). She was part of AIESEC for 5 years, her last role was as national Vice President of finance for AIESEC in Colombia (responsible for the Administration and decision of the Organization's financial and physical resources).

  • Motivation:

    Try to minimize social inequalities and poverty, passionate about working in places that have initiatives to create a positive impact on society and a more equitable world.

ANA LUISA SHIRAIWA

Receptionist

  • Education: 
    Began Journalism course at PUC – Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná and Letters (Japanese) at FFLCH USP - Universidade de São Paulo. She locked both courses and now wants to attend Administration.
  • Background/Achievements:
    Worked in Japan as ‘decasségui’ for almost 3 years and at a photojournalism agency.
  • Motivation:
    To feel that her work brings benefits to others.

ANDRES BUSTILLOS

Coordinator – Artemisia-AIESEC partnership for Latin America

  • Education: 
    Degree in ‘ingeniería comercial’ at Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo, La Paz, Bolivia, with masters in financial economics at the same institution.
  • Background/Achievement:
    Worked as a consultant at the Bolsa Boliviana de Valores, in the Development and Information area. Later on, worked in an Investment Fund Administrator. He was the national president of AIESEC in Bolivia, leading a national network of young people.
  • Motivation: 
    Entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation need leadership to become sustainable social businesses that keep up with an ongoing learning process for the development of social business field.

CAROLINA PEREIRA

Manager – Marketing and Communication

  • Education
    Degree in Political Analysis at UAB (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona)
  • Background/Achievements:
    At 12 years of age, Carolina wrote letters and gathered resources to help free political prisoners in Latin America. She took part in the group that created the first ‘Jogo da Cidadania’ at the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Brazil. She was also responsible for organizing ‘Prêmio Eco de Responsabilidade Social’ in 2001 and 2002. At AMCE, a sustainability consulting company, she developed anti-corruption indicators used by corporate signatories to Kofi Annan’s Global Compact. While at Ashoka, she developed the ‘Guia de Implementação de Empreendimentos Sociais para Jovens’, a youth guide for the implementation of social ventures.

    Inspiring people who contribute to shifting paradigms

    Trekking, hiking and cultural events (from shows to museums), meeting new people and learning new stories

DÉBORA BASSO

Analyst - Social Business Learning Center

  • Education: 
    Degree in International Relations at UFRGS - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
  • Background/Achievements: 
    During graduation, she was a member of AIESEC in Brazil and Germany. At the organization, worked as social entrepreneurship national coordinator and as facilitator of national and international events. Worked at Amichocó, Colombian organization that promotes the fair trade of precious metals
  • Motivation
    Working for a cause she believes,  in a challenging environment and inspiring people

    Travel, hacking and books.

FLÁVIA DOS SANTOS

Analyst – Operations and Finances

  • Education: 
    Degree in business administration at the Centro Universitário Assunção (UNIFAI).
  • Background/Achievements: 
    Worked in the retail segment, at Contém 1g, in Sales and administrative areas, where she discovered the focus of her career: financial area. Also worked in the care of hospital sector at Hospital do Coração.
  • Motivation
    Believe in new possibilities through fair work and value of human life, investing in skills to reduce inequalities and build a positive outlook for the future.

    Music, Cinema and Sports.

KELLY MICHEL

Founder and President of Artemisia Social Business Council

  • Education: 
    Degree in Business Administration at HEC Paris, with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, and degree in History of Art at the University of London (Courtauld Institute of Art)
  • Background/Achievements:
    Kelly developed Artemisia International – a social organization operating across four continents – to strengthen the area of social businesses. With two partners, she founded Vox Capital, a risk capital fund to help Brazilian companies whose business model contributes to reducing social inequality. She also co-founded an international community of young investors that develop strategies to achieve systemic social impact.
  • Motivation: 
    Contribute to a more equal society in which people have access to opportunities regardless of their socioeconomic status
  • Hobbies: 
    Get to know new cultures, learn how to samba, and practice kite surf

MARIANA PAÁL

Analyst – Social Business Accelerator

  • Education: 
    Degree in Business Administration at FEA-USP - Universidade de São Paulo, with specialization in Sustainability Management and Corporate Responsibility at Unicamp - Universidade de Campinas.
  • Background/Achievements:
    Began her career working in sports marketing; Worked as an account executive in an Argentine promotions and events agency until she decided to seek more meaning in her life and work after a personal loss. She thus became a consultant to the ABDL - Associação Brasileira para o Desenvolvimento de Lideranças, working on a project for leadership and sustainability training of a private sector organization in partnership with social and environmental organizations. In addition, participated at the areas of communication and institutional projects at ABDL
  • Motivation: 
    Contribute to a fairer society in which people have the opportunity to exercise their full potential. Caring for the quality of relations in its broadest sense.
  • Hobbies: 
    Travel, photography, foreign languages, music and any activity in contact with nature.

MAURE PESSANHA

Executive Director - Social Business Learning Center

  • Education: 
    Degree in Business Administration at FEA-USP, with specialization in Social Program Evaluation at FIA-USP and courses in Entrepreneurship at Insper-Ibmec, São Paulo, and in Development Studies at Harvard University
  • Background/Achievements:
    While in college, Maure helped establish a preparatory course for the university entry exam that has already benefited 2,000 people. She worked for social organizations such as Instituto Sou da Paz and World Education. For four years she worked for Ashoka Innovators for the Public in Brazil, both selecting entrepreneurs and supporting the organization’s strategic partnership with the consulting company McKinsey, with focus on knowledge transfer initiatives between the private and the social sectors.     
  • Motivations: 
    Work with and for people whose initiative and hands-on approach help solving social problems.
  • Hobbies: 
    Hiking


NELO BRIZOLA

Analyst at Social Business Accelerator

  • Education: 
    Degree in Business Administration at FEA-USP – ongoing.
  • Background/Achievements: 
    In college, as a member of AIESEC USP, has participated in several initiatives as recruitment and selection process, knowledge management, business challenges and strategic planning. Professionally, working in people management, worked at Hay Group – a people management and strategic implementation consultancy firm – developed organizational effectiveness solutions for various customers. Previously, worked with career and succession planning and corporate education program at business groups from metallurgy and environmental services sectors
  • Motivations: 
    Acting in business acceleration to the base of the pyramid as a way to develop solutions (products and services) to low-income population, and besides, who knows one day take their own social business.
  • Hobbies: 
    Entrepreneurship, yoga, meditation, travel / backpack, reading and running.


PAULA TERESITA GHILARDOTTI

Trainee – Social Business Accelerator

  • Education: 
    Bachelor in Business Administration – Brenau University, Georgia, USA.
  • Background/Achievements: 
    Played tennis all her life, achieving the #8th position at national argentinean ranking at the age of 16. After a year and a half of attending university in Argentina, she got a full tennis scholarship to study in the USA. During her last year of university, she co-founded a social business (running today) based in USA but focusing in Guatemala, that aimes to help providing a decent education to poor children that otherwise would be on the streets. That same year she earned the “Outstanding Business Student of the Year” award at her school. She worked in USA for another year at Turner Broadcasting Systems before coming to Brazil.
  • Motivations: 
    To do what brings happiness and passion in me. To influence as many people as I can into doing the same; to enjoy every minute of life helping others to take full advantage of that same right. Finally, to help end all inequalities in the world.
  • Hobbies: 
    Everything that has to do with sports, nature, traveling and people´s magic.


PRISCILA DATRI AUTRAN DE FREITAS

Learning Center Intern

  • Education: 
    Studing business management at FEA-USP
  • Background/Achievements: 
    - PESC (Programa de Extensão de Serviços à Comunidade), a volunteer program of FEA-USS, where she was responsible for elaborating a fundraising plan for company of the third sector. - AIESEC - coordinator of the internal audit team, coordinator of the process and CFO. - Unilever - IT Finance internship - DILP (Distrito Informático del Gran La Plata) – Argentina - assistance in strategic planning.
  • Motivations: 
    Seeking new challenges, and overcome learning and work with something that would bring greater benefit to society along with personal satisfaction.
  • Hobbies: 
    Travel, cinema, dance, music and sports.


RENATO KIYAMA

Analyst - Social Business Learning Center

  • Education: 
    Degree in Business Administration at FEA-USP - ongoing
  • Background/Achievements:
    At 16, Renato was already running several projects related to street youth and culture. While at university, he worked for two years as project director at AIESEC. He also participated in the Program for Young Entrepreneurs, where he helped develop the social business “A Banca”, which is part of Artemisia’s social business network.
  • Motivations: 
    Work to develop and strengthen the social business sector in Brazil, since businesses may increase their relevance to society if deeply committed to social change.
  • Hobbies: 
    Martial arts and street culture

TALITA ANDRE

Analyst - Social Business Learning Center

  • Education: 
    Degree in marketing at EACH-USP – Universidade de São Paulo
  • Background/Achievements:
    With a strong interest in the social area, sought since the beginning of college to study more about the subject. Participated in study groups, lectures and courses. She was coordinator of a project focused on social entrepreneurship in AIESEC.
  • Motivation:
    Commitment to a greater cause: to believe that a fairer world is possible and fight for it.
